We went to Blackpool and my mum wore her new check coat

Acrylic, acrylic gouache, crayon and pastel on canvas 48" x 36" This canvas was originally covered with texture materials such as fine ballast, sand, pumice, texture paste etc. I had known it wasn't working but was reluctant to throw away a big canvas like that which had a "history". So, I laid it on the floor and soaked it with warm water and brush cleaner. It took a few hours of hard work but I managed to scrape most of the texture stuff off.
