SO? Selected as Curators of the Pavilion of Turkey at the 2023 Venice Architecture Biennale

Sevince Bayrak and Oral Göktaş, founders of the Istanbul-based studio SO? Architecture and Ideas , were selected as curators for the Pavilion of Turkey in the 18th International Architecture Exhibition, La Biennale di Venezia 2023. Named Ghost Stories: Carrier Bag Theory of Architecture, the installation questions how architects can transform buildings instead of demolishing or leaving them to their fate to reveal hopeful proposals for the future. The exhibition will take on 20 May-26 November 2023, under the coordination of the Istanbul Foundation for Culture and Arts .

Beirut-born, Paris-based architect Lina Ghotmeh has been announced as the designer of the 22 nd annual Serpentine Gallery Pavilion. Titled “À Table,” the French expression for sitting together to eat, her proposal introduces a slender wooden structure with nine pleated petals supported by radial ribs.
